NYLON
(Non Absorbable Suture)
Monofilament synthetic suture non-absorbable color black or blue.
Obtained from extrusion of polyamide 6.6 with a uniform cylindrical diameter.
The tissue reaction is minimum.
Nylon is a non-absorbable material that with time is encapsulated by connective tissue.
It is known that the thread mass diminishes, approximatelyby 10% a year by the rupture of chemical links in a hydrolytic action.
Color code: Green label.
Normally used in various ways of confronting tissue like neurological, ophthalmic and plastic surgery.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Do to its high tensile strength and controlled elongation assures the approximation of the tissue borders to its cicatrization.
